Q: WHAT IS A HACKATHON
A: A Hackathon is an exciting event where participants come together to tackle a problem or challenge. Teams collaborate to brainstorm, design and pitch their best solution. It's an opportunity to apply your creativity and problem-solving skills in a practical and open-ended setting.
Q: WILL THERE BE FOOD AND BEVERAGES AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT?
A: Absolutely. There will be food, drinks, and snacks provided on all three days of the Hackathon. We will take into account all dietary limitations.
Q: DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR THE EVENT?
A: Yes, there are a few things you should bring along. Make sure to bring your laptop (With your charger), as it will be your primary tool for developing and presenting your solution. Additionally, consider bringing any other personal items or tools that you might need to support your work during the event.
Q: DO I NEED TO HAVE A TEAM TO PARTICIPATE?
A: No, While it is recommended to sign up as a team, we can assign you to a team or you may choose to join a team by joining our hackathon discord or via hackathon.comssa.org.au.
Q: WHAT SKILL LEVEL DO I HAVE TO BE AT IN ORDER TO JOIN?
A: You do not need computing/coding knowledge to join. The only criteria you need to join is to be a current student (high school, university, TAFE, etc.)
Q: WHY IS IT CALLED PART 1?
A: This event is called 'Part 1' because 'Part 2' of Astro Renaissance will be held at the Curtin Singapore campus, proudly collaborated with them.
